Caitlin McGregor is a writer and editor. Her work has been published by a range of magazines and literary journals, including The Lifted Brow, Overland, Kill Your Darlings, Voiceworks and The Big Issue. Caitlin is currently a writer-in-residence at the Melbourne Recital Centre, and is working on her first essay collection. She lives and works on Dja Dja Wurrung country.

[CABIN FEVER]

And, I love him. I love the way he fills a room, the way he chews at problems. I renew the B— Street lease: it will be the first time since O was born that I’ve stayed in one place for longer than a year. The house grows. B brings his belongings, his friends, his ideas, his stories, and the house inhales—the outside world comes further in than I’ve ever let it before.
